Sovereign AI comes to Glasgow

weeteq was invited to pitch to the Sovereign AI team as they continued their country-wide road trip to launch the newly created £500m fund.

Closing our seed round

weeteq is in the final stages of a £3m seed round and is now selecting the investors who will join us for it. We are being deliberate about who comes on board – at this stage the right partners matter as much as the capital.

For anyone considering it, this is where we are:

  • Ported onto tier 1 MCUs Ultra Edge® has successfully ported onto target MCUs from tier 1 providers, highlighting our light touch approach
  • Independent technical validation. Best Paper in the AI/HPC category at OCP EMEA Summit 2026, and selection in the RAISE Summit Top 100.
  • Ecosystem in place. Arm Flexible Access member, collaboration with NXP Semiconductors, and support from Silicon Catalyst and Scottish Enterprise.
  • Four addressable markets. Data Centers, industrial automation, utilities and automotive: All facing the same underlying constraint in power and control system response.
  • A defensible position. Circuit-level AI that acts before the error signal, with no external sensors, no cloud dependency and no historical training data required.

The round funds the next stage: taking Ultra Edge® from validation on silicon into customer deployment, and building out the commercial team to meet the demand we are already seeing.
